Ive either been told or read somewhere reset the horizontal gap on a reed a .002 feeler guage is best. Anybody know from experience? I just bought the Lee O. tuning kit and it comes with a .008 feeler guage. What am I supposed to do with that?

The feeler gauge is for resting the reed on when you tune it up.

The best way to learn how to gap properly is by watching these videos by the great Joe Spiers.

Excellent videos. It's taken me 18 months of experiment to discover all this for myself. The videos give me confidence that I've been on the right track, I've just got to keep going.
