Does anyone here own a Double Trouble amp by Brian? and if so do you think it will project enough in most club sizes at its wattage? I think its 18 watts.I know it has a line out. I played through a Bassman for years but recently some outstanding citizen relieved me of my old original amp amongst other valuables here in the Delta. Thanks.

Sorry to hear about the loss of your gear.

I use a HarpGear Double Trouble and love it!
With most bands it'll project just fine. However when I play with loud bands then I just use the line out.

Mine is in the two-tone tolex.
Sounds great, has wonderful tone, is super lightweight and looks as cool as heck. It also sounds great with any mic I plug into it.

Here's a clip with Mark Hummel playing through one. He's using Joe Lempkowski's Double Trouble (a tweed version). It's on the stool behind him.

Thanks Kingley I think ill probably go with it. Seems to be the best priced of comparable amps. Ill mostly sit in with roots and blues bands. Not too loud.

I had one and really liked it. However 2x8 just doesn't do it for me. I tried it as a 1x12 and that was so-so. The tone was excellent, but 2x8 with AlNiCo speakers is not ideal for me.

I know I'll sound nuts, but when A/B'ed with a Vibro Champ with a Weber Sig Ceramic, I didn't notice much volume difference before feedback. With a Kinder AFB+, the DT was louder.

I have a Vibro Champ, and now a Silverface Champ. With the Weber Sig and a Weber 8F125 in stereo, I can easily run with a DT. Not as convenient, and a bit of a different tone, but volume/projection wise it is right on.

Would I want another DT, though? If I had the money, Yes. But I'd want 2x10 or 1x8 and 1x10 instead...But I could TOTALLY roll with a stock DT.

I have a Double Trouble amp and use the Lone Wolf Harp Delay pedal with it. They're a great combination.
