What is it about those eights that make a harp amp sound so nasty? OVERDRIVEN? I GUESS! All i know is my Kalamazoo and Silvertone are eight and sweet. The Cruncher has two eights and the Double Trouble has two eights and the Mini Meat has two eights ... amongst other sizes thrown in but is seems to be the backbone. Dont know...........much bout History........Dont know much bout scientology......all i do know is i love you.......................Yea i had a Bassman at one time ......410s.......!

I like 8" speakers for harp. My Kalamazoo Model-1 has an original 10" speaker.

8" is probably just the best compromise - big enough to give you all the bass you need, small enough to give you all the treble.
