No Rebecca is not mute. She plays, harp, ukelele and guitar and is currently living in S Korea. She looks very young in that video but I reckon she must be in her late twenties early thirties. I think she is a teacher. Yeah! I know, too much information. I am a bit of an anorack, I need to find these things out.
