He lives in my hometown, and I understand he gives lessons. I was thinking about contacting him.

Welp, I'll be starting with Tulsa tomorrow night. I'm anxious to get going on this, and will report back here if anyone's interested.

I can tell you my impressions from last night: He's a very likable and engaging guy. He's got a system, but quickly assessed me and adjusted. He was very interested in knowing where my interests lie so he could tailor things to me. I basically told him I was open to anything.
We focused on embouchure, breathing and a couple effects (tongue and throat vibrato, I think). I'm really jazzed about all this.

Well crap, now I'm interested in getting a local teacher.
Now where in the hell am I gonna find the time to take lessons in my 50 hour work week, two nights of teaching, one day of fishing, and, oh yeah, my wife and kids?

Yeah -- I know the feeling. Wednesdays worked 'cause the kids and wife are busy, so I jumped right in.
He has just started back up with lessons at a new place, so he's got a light schedule. He seems pretty flexible on times. If you're interested, e-mail me and I'll get you the details.
