The Blues Harp since 1992 is parrt of the Hohner MS series and the parts between the Marine Band and the Blues Harp since then are not interchangeable at all. If it was made prior to the introduction of the Hohner MS series (modular series), which is prior to 1991, it's parts along with the pre-1990 Old Standby would've been interchangeable, and on those, everything is held together with small brass nails.
The Hohner MS series together using screws (the correct screwdriver is a Pozidriv #1) for everything). The Hohner MS series includes the following models since 1992: Blues Harp, Big River, Cross Harp, Meisterklasse, Martin (now discontinued), Tiffany (now discontinued), the MS version of the Marine Band (which was only issued in Europe, and has been discontinued for several years).
Today, they're both tuned to a comprimise tuning, but they're still tuned differently and I have those listed in the http://www.harmonicaspace.com website.
The Marine Bands, Blues Harp, Old Standby, and Special 20 were tuned to 7 Limit Just Intonation until 1985, and from 1985-1992, they were tuned to 19 Limit Just Intonation. The present day Old Stadby since 1990 is basically a cheap, Chinese made Special 20 knockoff.

If i wanted to build a custom but was wanting the advantage of bolts.enstead of nails,And did not want to mess with drilling the marien band for bolts,Could i use the Blues harp and pretty much get a harp similar to the Marien band features.tone playability ect.

IF you buy the Marine Band Deluxe, it's largely the same as the Marine Band, except that they're held together with Phillips head screws and the outer edges of the wood comb is sealed (which is Ok for some, but a fully sealed comb is better).
The Hohner MS series was designed so that you can self customize, but the parts to be used would have to be from another harp in the MS series only and the harps in that series I've already named in my previous posting.
If you want something in the MS series closer to the Marine Band, get yourself a Big River harp, replace the plastic comb and replace it with the comb from the Blues Harp (what you'll be doing is turning it into the long dsicontinued MS Marine Band that was only issued in Europe), or for more money with better comb that is fully sealed, get one that uses maple instead of the African doussie that Hohner uses from http://www.middlebury.net/lavoie.
The tuning, tho is gonna be different than what's used on the Marine Band.
There are plenty of videos on You Tube showing you how to totally customize a Marine Band so you should look into that.
