Hi,
I was just tuning my Special 20 in the key of C when I realized that I actually have one Turbo Harp in the key of A. Special 20 comb fits perfectly to the Turbo harp covers. Now, the trick with the Turbo Harp covers is that you can just take it apart and put back together in a second without any screws or tools.
This is of course a great advantage when you are tuning the reeds as you are able to play it normally with TB, LP etc after tuning each reed in just a seconds. When you use normal Hohner covers you don't have the patience to use screwdrivers and assemble those but instead you just try to play it without the covers or possibly by using the covers with you fingers without the screws. That might work just fine too, but at least for me it is easier to play when I don't have to worry about the covers slipping from their places.
So, if one has a Turbo Harp, s/he can use the covers with any Special 20 comb to check the tunings. I don't know if there are other combs that fit Turbo Harp covers, but perhaps there are..?
What do you think about this?

I'm not confident enough to tinker with my 20's yet. I wonder if it would fit on a Blues Band or a Pocket Pal. I've got a list of harps I want to try. I still want a Manji and a 1847 but I think after that maybe I'll get around to trying a Turbo.

You just raised up a point overlooked WAY too often. TurboLids are great even if you only own ONE of them $10. To use ONLY when working on your harps. So easy to snap on and off and check the harp and then keep tinkering away. Glad to hear someone else putting a TL to use in that manner. Bravo. ---------- $Daddy Rich$ "The Blues is Ok!"
