Where do I begin? Wow! Quite the experience. After attending mostly blues & blues-rock shows, his was a change of pace (although there was still plenty of blues) and seeing him perform helped me appreciate the styles that aren't necessarily my "cup of tea" but are growing on me. If I'd loose 30lbs & 10 years I might have his energy! He also had some fx pedals I never thought of using (and of course will have to try).

During the break between sets he signed a harp for me (the first one ever for someone under sixty) and was gracious to sit down one on one with me for 20 minutes or so to "talk shop". He discussed his various musical influences, phases, and turning points in life that have led to his style. I really enjoyed the opportunity to talk to one of the best. Thanks Jason.

The opening act, Trampled Underfoot, a local "family" band (no harp)was good, and on several numbers had a washboard player (their mom?)that I really enjoyed.

Also got to hit the KC area record stores to add to my collection.

Overall a great time!
