The "close-up" of my house has my kids basketball goal in the driveway so its a current photo, but the car parked in front of the house I've never seen before. Should I be worried? :)

Hey everyone! You may have noticed we're slowly adding places important to harmonicas. We are using the light blue flags to mark harmonica factories. Unfortunately, some of the factory home towns are hard to find. I know, for instance, the home towns for Hering, Seydel and Hohner, but for other I just have a flag on the country. I'm running into a language barrier on a lot of the sites, but if you happen to know where one is, or your a polyglot or know a polyglot and want to track one down and add it to the map that would be great. I saw a video on YouTube of the Tombo/Lee Oskar factory in Japan, but they never said where they are. Right now they are just in the middle of their country, so Tombo and Suzuki are made in the center of Japan, the Bends the center of Brazil and Huang, Golden Cup, etc. in China. Feel free to add chromatic companies, or good museums. I haven't even added Harrison yet because I don't even know what state they are in.

Suzuki Music HO is in Hamamatsu Japan. That would serve the purpose I would think.
Harrison Harmonicas are in Chicago according to their web site.
Here's the translation from the adress listed on the Tombo japanese web site but pinning this address really doesn't do Lee Oskar any justice. Your call.

Thanks XHarp.
I added the pins. I wish there was a way to shrink the pins a little. It's getting crowded! I may eventually have to see about breaking the map down into layers. I have another unrelated map, and I discovered by accident that you can overlap multiple maps, turning on and off certain data sets. I could add factories, museums and other stuff on a new layer. We could have a layer for good blues venues, stores, events that might move from year to year, all sorts of stuff. I might have to create a page to host the map since each layer would have it's own url.

You can layer the maps kind of like doing topographic overlays??? Man, how does someone think about all this stuff?? I was amazed that I could pin myself onto a map.
That's a great idea though narcoran, If there was a gathering noted, we could post the location and pin it so people could figure out where they were going.
OR
We could use it to find out great venues, like recently when someone was asking for blues venues in San Diego, someone could have pinned them and put the address into the balloon then google maps could take over and bingo.... a good location and where to go all in one. Nice... I like that.
Good work bye the way, the map is very cool indeed. ---------- "Keep it in your mouth" - XHarp

@ Adam : If I can get a way there,& I will. I will most certainly be @ the Crossroads meet. I'd love to meet you all & harp together :) Maybe keep it a closed event for just us forum members,if we get enough attendees, with a few guests perhaps ? Just a thought. And welcome Tenbus, to our great little community. Enjoy :)
