ok, this has happened twice to me now, i so happen to search jason's site, and he is playing in my town(cleveland) within a week.. fate, maybe, probably just damn good luck.. well, he is coming to play cleveland on monday the 16th the same day the browns are hosting the baltimore ravens on monday night football. it also happens that i have a 9th row 35 yardline ticket. IM A HUGE BROWNS FAN..
choices
so, i desided(in about 2 min) to give my browns ticket away(who wants to see them loose) and take my wife and my friends to go see jason. im willing to bet jason will put on a better show, and i wont leave there as pissed off as i would the browns game..
anyone else going? i think i may be one of the only clevelanders on this forum...

with cleveland's season already shot, again, i'd go for jason, too. there is always next year for either event, but i would think jason's show will leave you in a good mood.

A while back I found out that Jason was coming to my neck of the woods....I found out two days after he was there. :(
Hell with football. Record it if you must. You see it better on TV, anyway. Good choice-Go see Jason!

and this is why it was such a fast choice...
jason's last show was the best live performance i have ever seen.. there was maybe 30 people at the show and they didnt mail it in, they played their asses off.. i only wish the browns played with that much heart!!!!

I'm also part of the rare breed of non sports fans. But hey, I've also been known to enjoy whatever was on the tube at a bar esp racing, hockey.
But, uh, yeah, I've considered going way out of my way just to see his show over 3 hours from where I live so if it's relatively close you're lucky!!

Here, it would be the Saints or Jason...but, I'm one very few people I know who doesn't have season tickets, and in the end, it's just a game. Go hear, see and experience JR and New Blood-tivo the game! Chances are, you can get a few bucks for your Browns tickets, and you'll be ahead versus what Jason's show will cost! ---------- GO SAINTS! crescentcityharmonicaclub@gmail.com

Ness, I hope you went to see Jason because he's an act you shouldn't miss for anything. You daughter will always be around and if she's young enough you can just lie and tell her, her birthday is the following weekend. When the Browns start playing football, please let us know.
If you are stressing over making the choice between either live music from a harmonica star or seeing a bunch of roided, spoiled, rich criminals working for a business which overprices its product, then it's time to sell your harps and take up an instrument like the triangle and work your way up to achieve your maracas certification... once the folks at the home get your meds balanced properly. ;-)

I have seen so many Jason Ricci concerts that I can't remember where I left my daughter. Hopefully she'll pop up after she's turned 18 so I won't have to deal with payments and what not! ---------- "The privilege of a lifetime is being who you are." - Joseph Campbell

you can always make another child but you can't always see Jason play live.
If you people are truly passionate about the harmonica then your priorities are messed up where kids are involved. Kids can be dealt with using a pacifier, duct tape, TV and a crib or my favorite a child seat for the car.

Gwood420: I thought all of us were Browns Fans. When i get to a game, we set in the Third Row of the Dog Pound. Its two shows for the price of one. I live a little closer to Cincinnati, but will always be a Browns Fan!!
Where is Jason playing and time if you don't mind me asking. I'm 2 and a half hours south of the Airport. I usually park there and take the train into downtown. Then I'm somewhat lost. I can make it to the Flats!!

Just found Jason's Nov. schedule. He will be at Gilley's in Dayton Ohio on Sunday Nov. 22. That is less than an hour drive for me and its Sunday night. This way I'll watch the Browns game for Gwood, get real depressed, have the blues till Jason is in Dayton on the 22nd. I call that Livin The Dream!! And I Thank You K.C.
Oh Yeah: Go Browns!!

Well, since I'm from Pittsburgh,I'd say f*** the Browns and go see Jason. An alternative would be to drive to Erie,Pa.where he's playing on Sunday. I think that's pretty close to you.

If it came down to seeing Jason or any sporting event, the ONLY way I'd not pick Jason is if it was the last game of the World Series and the Cubs were guaranteed to win it. Needless to say, it's Jason every time.

Now dont get me wrong Jason is great i bought his Cd off of Emusic, love it,but and im new to all the great players but the only one that could keep me away from my favorite football team if i had tickets would be Sonny boy Williamson 2 to me hes the best all round harp player i would love to see,but then again hes dead ( not just his great licks but that cool voice the flair he had on stage he was just cool.)

@ Buddha-Oh, and Brees can't pass? Haha...That would be a good game if it happened, but I'm stickin' with my home boys, should it happen. As for my end of the wager? I'll come up with something you'll risk wagering a Buddha Harp on...and maybe we shall see! I will tell you this-if they did play, and in the Superdome-Saints win, hands down. The volume of a sold-out Dome crowd is un-freaking-believable, and the fans use it as a weapon when the opponent is on offense. ---------- GO SAINTS! crescentcityharmonicaclub@gmail.com
