Hi, I would need someone to tell me how to organize my practice so I keep getting better without wasting time. I guess I don't know what to start with so I do everything at the same time wich does'nt seem like the best way.
I can bend all notes, tongue block a bit , play octaves, clean single notes, double stops and all that. I usually practice bending exercises and scale exercises and I learn licks from the Walters ( Tom ball sourcebook).
What do I do with all that? Knowing that what I aim for is to jam along with my buddies and pull off decent licks while improvising on a standard 12 bars.

like I said in the other thread, nothing beats playing with other musicians.
Why not just jump in the deep end and jam with your buddies now?

I agree with Mr. VLUN, plus, dig thru this forum for tons of free jam track links-they're fun and allow you to practice with 'real music' as often as you want. ---------- GO SAINTS! crescentcityharmonicaclub@gmail.com

I don't think you can waste time as long as you play your notes in tune (articulation) & don't repeat anything that sounds bad to you and repeat everything that sounds good to you at least once.
To add to the above suggestions grab your favorite CDs and either mimic Butterfield's licks or play all over them along with Muddy and the gang (for example).

The best place to start practicing is where no one can hear you. That is the best place.
Just ask my wife.
