I must say I was mighty impressed with that Dub Fx video in a previous post. I can't justify spending money on an Akai Headrush looping pedal at the moment so thought I'd do a little digging.
I found this site which provides loads of free loop samples

I've had a little play with some of the loops in Audacity and I'm going to see what I can come up with. Looks interesting.
Just thought I'd let anyone know who may want to have a go.

Tooka, download Ambiloop. It's a sweet little bit of free open source software that is JUST for doing live audio looping. You can import loops, record your own, and do sound on sound, etc... It has live DSP effects too (delay and reverb), and if you have a good enough sound card, you can turn the latency down enough that it could be used in live situations...

I was smitten by dub fx as well. I had never played with a loop pedal before. I was jamming at my buddies house last night and he let me screw around with his. First of all it was freaking awesome, second of all it was way easier than I though it would be to synchronize and lay tracks. I kind of lost some respect for dub fx due to this. I think what he's doing is cool, but its really novel. I wouldn't be able to listen to him for more than 15 minutes before going nuts...
