Hi thinking of buying a delay pedal to fatten up my sound a bit and cant decide between the boss or the wolf at the moment am playing thro a modded fender blues jnr but am contemplating buying a harpgear double trouble never used a delay before advice welcome .cheers tombo
I've got a Lone Wolf Delay and really like it. Good product and customer service. (If you go this route, get the ac adapter, it's less than $15, and well worth it)
I agree with Kingley, tried the Two Timer demo at my local shop, very nice. (Haven't tried the DM-2 yet so I can't comment)
The lone Wolf delay is a digital delay made to emulate an analog delay.
Over the years I have tried many different delay pedals and it all comes down to personal taste. Adam Gussow favours a Boss DD3, whilst Jason Ricci favours either a Boss DM-2 or a BBE Two Timer, some guys swear by the DanEcho.
For me the DM-2 is the best delay I have ever used. It adds something to your sound that none of the other delays (except the BBE Two Timer) do. The advantage of the Two Timer is that it can be set for two separate delays, which is a very useful feature for stage work.
Here's a video by Jason comparing the BBE Two Timer and the Boss DM-2.
Tombo, you don't know what your missing. For a good delay pedal@ less than $30 I have used a Behringer digital delay pedal and had enormus success with it, for the price you can't go wrong. I do have a Loan wolf and like it on my dirty mic but I still use the Behringer on my clean mic. Mike

At high volumes, i.e., on stage, feedback rejection is a great bonus, and this is a biggie that makes the LW pedals great. I have the Lone Wolf V2 which I chose after I chose between it and the 1st Harp Delay in a side-by-side comparison. Plus, it's true bypass. WONDERFUL pedal. For longer delays, I have a Guyatone MD-2. Much cheaper than the Boss and many others.

Be aware that the Two Timer is more prone to feedback than the LW pedals, given that it is designed for guitar. Like Todd, I'm favouring the Lone Wolf Delay V2 after comparing it against its predecessor - great pedal..

Unlike every other delay I have tried with the exception of the Belcat DLY303 which is a budget priced digital delay (£20GBP) with a great sound, and is built like a tank.
Ditto on loving the Lone Wolf Delay, not the V2 version which passes more treble acting more like a presence control. Not necessary if you can hear high frequencies and haven't had your ears destroyed by playing or listening to music way too loud.
I own the Lone Wolfe delay. My main delay is from a Dan Echo Dan Electro. The only problem with these Dan Echo's has been from not having a true bypass. I sent the Dan Echo off to Ron Holmes Engineering and holy crap!!!! what a delay. ---------- They've got a name for the winners in the world. I...I want a name when I lose. They call Alabama The Crimson Tide. Call me Deacon Blue.
