All are terribly outdated, but I will be remedying that real soon. Good idea, Zackie. ---------- ~Todd L. Greene, Devout Pedestrian

@Steve Harvell@ Saw your harp reviews on your site. What's it gonna be, the HarpMaster or the Marine Band Deluxe? You rave about both and I can't work out which you feel is best :) ----------

I like the "HarpMaster" the best. I do prefer the plastic comb over wood so far in my life. The HarpMaster is the best playing diatonic out of the box harp in my opinion. Looking forward to trying the Manji, have heard great things about it. I like the HarpMaster better than the BluesMaster too.
But harps are a VERY personal thing and each person will have his own opinion. Each person is at a different skill level, and there is the factor of what kind of lips you have, size of tongue/lungs,the size of your mouth cavity/co-ordination, so many things come in to factor what an individual will favor and find the most comfortable to play. I do not teach harmonica anymore but from the five years I did I found the above factors did figure in on how a person levitated to a certain brand/type of harmonica.
You should play the type of harp that feels and sounds better to YOU! It is good to get advise, but, you have follow what suits you.

When I get a free moment, I'll create a new links page for this website called "forum links," where I'll link everybody who posts in this thread.

Dave- When we first came up with our band name everyone got the reference. Now it's lost on most people. Some people are too young to have ever seen it, and others are too old to remember anything. It's just the ones in the middle that get it. Actually, my friend and I just started a side project. We don't have a site up yet, but there is a small creek near where I live. The Dutch settled the area so almost all the creeks have the Dutch word for creek in the name, 'kill'. It creates some violent sounding names. A couple of years back PETA even petitioned unsuccessfully to have the Fishkill's name changed.
The creek near me is the Normanskill, so we named our side project The Normanskill Saxons.

lol, that's AWESOME!
All that I get from my hometown is Braunschweig =(figuratively) silence the browns....
Or funky "browntown", as some like to call it.
But, Brownkill would have been so much cooler... :) ---------- germanharpist on YT. =;-)
