thanks for taking a listen/look! i'm considering the hpc3 deal. what could it hurt?

as for gear, i think you saw "the evil that you know", right?
Jo is playing the Epiphone Emperor Regent hollowbody on that one; plugged into a Silvertone 1482 amp which matches my harp amp. the harp i'm using there is a Suzuki Pure in G. i can't say enough good things about that harp, an early Christmas present from Jo. it's just beautiful to look at and also definitely to play. my harp mic is a customized-by-Greg Heumann e-v m43u, it has a transformer built in to up the impedance, a volume pot, and a Switchcraft screw on adapter to 1/4" jack. our p.a. is a Fender Passport 150 we got a deal on about 2 years ago. i use the mic that came with the p.a., an sm58 knockoff, while Jo has an sm58 Beta for her vocals.

we're recording straight into a kodak Zi8 video camera and loading the vids to our hard drive, from there to youtube. it's that simple! the camera was on sale so we splurged and got it. simple to use and very decent results for the price!

As jay says... very moving. Do you play on stage/in public?

I hope you don't mind that I took the liberty to embed the vid.

germanharpist, thanks for bringing it here!

we do play out quite a bit, at least every month or so. funny, Jo just bought a guitar to keep me busy "between bands", and 3 years later she's my primary partner in music!

we have played many hours totally acoustic, at home of course, but also at the farmers' market a few miles down the road. for pure joy there's nothing like playing to just whomsoever comes by. everyone from toddlers to octagenarians seem to respond to what we do.

we play amped at clubs around town here and also in clarksdale mississippi when the opportunity presents, which it did 5 or 6 times this year. we're planning a promo blitz to lock some dates around the state for next season.

i have always been a ham, an extrovert, so the stage was a natural home to me. Jo never anticipated playing music in front of an audience, but she has taken to it very well indeed!

she is thrilled to see that we're getting seen on both youtube and at reverbnation also, where i mounted this video also.

thanks you guys for taking a look and caring enough to comment!
