Hi to everyone. I'm 70 years old, fairly active and new to the Blues Harp. I've played Chromatic since i was 14 years and need something new as a chalenge. It'sthe sound of the blues harp that's the atraction for me. I'm from wolverhampton in the UK. I'm a retired marine engineer and sometime musician(guitar).i've played in a few bands that did ok but never made the big time. I came to this site through Adams you tube instruction videos and will be eternaly greatfull for the start he has given me. to deal with my user name,i once came home after a long run, when i could run,i came in the house,my wife said i smelled like a manky codpiece. i'm happy to be here and look forward to chatting with you. Ray.

Hello from the Ozarks & welcome! My father took up the diatonic (as a side interest) after retirement and is now 69. This summer I talked him into riding to Clarksdale with me to see Watermelon Slim at the Ground Zero Blues Club. He had never been to a blues club before (or even a bar) so it was quite the experience!

If my wife called me that, I'd ask how she knew what one smelled like to begin with;-)

Welcome aboard. Somewhere around here is a big introduction thread and a map, if you care to add a pushpin. There are already several pins in the UK. (For some reason the Australians won't pin up).

mankycodpiece> Welcome from another of your vintage ie I started playing chromatic & diatonic when I was about 14 but gave it away for 50 intervening years.
