Just received a Joe Powers / Michael Hoppe CD that I bought on a whim on ebay. It's awesome. Not blues, not virtuoso music, just good stuff. Check it out.

Yeah! Joe Powers is from my home of Portland Oregon. I saw him once at a chinese gardens where he was performing Argentine music. He's a freakin master at milongas and other forms of argentine music. Not a bad blues player either! He has a myspace too.

I'm a Portlander too. I think the Portland area has more pro harp players per capita than anywhere else.
In fact,some may say there is a "glut" of them.
