Here is info about the "Chicago" amp:

-All hand wired point-to-point by master amp builder. Beautifully crafted.

-Every finished amp rigorously tested by pro harp player. Guaranteed five years.

-Cloth-covered solid core wiring.

-NOS military-grade Paper in Oil capacitors. Dark, warm, lush tone.

-Beefy 50-watt power transformer. Powerful bottom end.

-Separate inputs for Normal and Crystal harp microphones.

-Separate Bass and Treble controls.

-Speakers broken in using custom harp-specific processes. Fat tone from the first note.

-"True Tone" Line Out XLR jack with level control. Perfect for PA or recording.

-30 watts of real usable power from two Tung Sol 6L6 power tubes.

-One 12-inch premium speaker.

-Tweed Super cabinet, finger jointed, solid pine with a furniture grade birch plywood baffle board.

-Under 45 pounds.

The price will be about $1000.00. The standard model is 1x12, but it can be ordered as 2x10, 1x15, or 12+8. It will be available in a few weeks. I'll have the first review on the Blues Harp Amps blog.

Gary Onofrio (Sonny Jr) has been talking about a new amp he is releasing with these exact same specifications. So I'd guess it will be him.

Yanno I went back to look at the specs and without speakers it sounds an awful lot like my modded Bogen CHA 33

Yeah smaller amps are where it's at for me.

That's why I use a Fender '65 Blackface Princeton Reverb Reissue. Monster tone in a highly portable package and more than loud enough for all my gigs.

I also have a HarpGear Double Trouble (which I may be selling off) that is also a killer harp amp in a small portable package.

I had an original 65 Blackface Princeton Reverb, great sound if you could contain the squeal. They are feedback monsters, of course that was before i knew about tube swaps and Mods

I swapped out the V1 preamp for a 12AY7 and never have feedback problems at all.
