Well, After searching for about 10 months, i think i've finally found my Harp. The Soul's Voice. It has the comfort of a HarpMaster, but JUST tuning and better tone. Anybody out there agree or disagree?
ALSO, is it true Harp Depot owns SOUL VOICE now instead of BUSHMAN? I hope they aren't gonna stop making my harp.
I've got a Suzuki Manji in A that i'm liking pretty good as well. Something about that soul's voice though, i think i'm in love.
So yeah, please share your thoughts?
Anyone have a preference between the HarpMaster and the Delta Frost? I know BushMan hires Suzuki to make them, so the only difference is pretty much the Reeds right?? ---------- $Daddy Rich$ "The Blues is Ok!"

The Soul's Voice is made by Seydel - It's the same as the Weltmeister Blackbird which was also made by Seydel. Harp Depot now own the distribution rights and the name.

I have one in C and a Bushman in A. I like them. They look to be a quality made harp. Looks like the plates are nickle plated and the reeds are brass, like my old Meisterclass had. I don't use them all the time but they are close at hand if my primary harp croaks. I feel they aren't quite as responsive as my G/M's and S/P 20's. They seem to take more air to play in my oppinion.I've got my style and maybe the Souls voice fits your style better. I say stay with what works for you, their quality harps in my oppinion. Mike

What year was it when you bought the Meisterklasse? Prior to it being part of the MS series, the reeds were made out of baryllium copper alloy. ---------- Sincerely, Barbeque Bob Maglinte Boston, MA http://www.barbequebob.com CD available at http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/bbmaglinte

@ BBQ Bob , Yeah I think I got it around 1988, paid $90 back then for it. Sweet harp but the 6 blow broke off at the rivit? I think the info. said it had a titanium comb with nickle plated plates, not sure about the reeds. I'll take your word for that. Haven't found any replacment plates yet. Peter Blyth in England at harmonicas direct.com said he may be able to find replacment plates. I'm not sure if it's worth the trouble any more. I already have $30 in reed plates that won't fit. Mike

That one you have was made prior to them being part of the MS series and they used reeds made from barrylium copper alloy (definitely NOT brass) and the comb was made of aluminum. The reedplates for the MS Meisterklasse, which has been made since 1992 will not fit any Meisterklasse made prior to 1992. What you should do is contact Hohner directly and order a set of pre-MS series Meisterklasse plates because they are TOTALLY different. You probably assumed they were the same or got it at a retail brick and mortar music store and people working there know damn near next to nothing about ANYTHING remotely related to the harmonica. ---------- Sincerely, Barbeque Bob Maglinte Boston, MA http://www.barbequebob.com CD available at http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/bbmaglinte

I ordered a Soul's Voice from Harp Depot but they took my money and never sent me my harmonicas. Google "Harp Depot" and it becomes obvious that they can't be trusted not to steal your money.

I don't know much about HarpDepot. I emailed them about an endorsement deal HAHA. Haven't heard back from them yet. I will say though, that their website is very unpleasant to deal with. That alone kinda turned me off from ordering from them.
So maybe i should be contacting Seydel about my Endorsement deal eh? I guess since they don't own the name rights, they will just have to make a copy of the Soul's Voice but name it after me. I kinda always wanted my own signature model harp anyways, so kinda works out for the both of us. P.S. ha ha ha ha ha ha ha Like I said though, if there are any Soul's Voice lovers out there, i found a little honeyhole online where i get them for only $25 i don't wanna post it on here cause i'm not sure how thick their inventory is, but if you contact me by email i'll hook you up. email: Sales AT overblowharmonica.com ---------- $Daddy Rich$ "The Blues is Ok!"

I play soul's voice harmonicas. The best place to get them is from Rockin Ron's Music 4 Less. His prices include shipping and he's fast. The soul's voice is my favorite hamonica and I have quite a few of them.

Wow--I thought the soul's voice was from Bushman--and I thought Bushman was just refurbishing Suzuki's to make them, like the Delta Frost (another good harp, BTW).
