Hi Folks
Some time ago I asked you guys about songs and albums with only one guitarist and a harp player. One of your (great) suggestions was "Stuck on the Blues" by Richard Ray Farell and Marco Pandolfi (thx for that, it's a great album). Now: in the song that gives name to the album (track Nr. 12) I hear Marco Pandolfi play a C Harp in 2nd position (Key of G). At least that's what I figured out so far. At the very beginning of the song you hear him do some tricks on the high notes. He plays something like D - B - C - C, but not just as plain single notes. You can clearly hear that he's bending up to the B for instance.
I have tried in many ways to get the same inflections out of my C harp but just doesn't appear to be possible. So the only possibility I can think of is that Mr. Pandolfi is playing a re-tuned C Harp with the 7 draw tuned down a half step. Then the 7 blow would become bendable and maybe then... hmmm
Has anyone got the same tune and any ideas about what's going on?
Cheers DaDoom

Have you thought of the possibility that he may be switching harps? Lots of players do that in mid phrase. ---------- Sincerely, Barbeque Bob Maglinte Boston, MA http://www.barbequebob.com CD available at http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/bbmaglinte

@barbequebob
Yep that came to my mind. I tried a G harp in 1st position as well. I'm pretty sure he uses a C harp only. But then again I might be wrong :(
