There are a lot of interesting people who bring diversity, colour and humourous topics to the forum and I think it's only fair to give credit where it's due.
So this year I vote as joint Kings.
1. isaacullah - for his enthusiasm and willingness to make videos on the spur of the moment which show us how to make stuff which is useful and saves us money. Thank you isaacullah.
2. jonsparrow - a tireless poster who always chips in with short amusing quips that get straight to the heart of the matter and always raises a chuckle. Thank you jonsparrow.
Honorary mentions too to Mickil for his dry sense of humour and engaging musical knowledge. Sit down with a fag and nice cup of tea Mickil. BBQBob who has only been with us a short while but has already made his mark by being so generous with his harp playing wisdom and advice.
In fact, there are more but it would get boring to go through them all.

When I saw the thread topic I immediately thought "jonsparrow". But now that you mention Isaacullah, I'm tempted to second your vote for joint kings.

Thanks, tooka. Those are very kind words. And, you're right, there are more, each of whom bring something different, yet equally valid. There are posters for the thinkers, the gear heads, the tekkies, the newbies, the list goes on.
Off the top of my head:
Doc Gussow - his posts and videos often remind me that I need to re-establish some of the equanimity I had as a younger man. That self-control in expression is a life lesson for a harper, a butcher, or anyone for that matter.
Buddha, BBQBOB, Violin Cat - priceless info delivered at whatever length is required to put it across.
Jon - you're funny, dude.
GermanHarpist, isaacullah, tookatooka, Mrverylongusername, Elwood and Aussiesucker also spring to mind for the quality of their posts.
There are many others I could mention, but I'd be typing for quite some time.
Best wishes to you all for a happy crimbo and all that's good in the coming year.

As a newbie who feels like he can't bring much to the table in this wonderful world of harping, I can't express how much I enjoy listening and learning from all of you guy's. I'm almost at my 1 year anniversary. Everyone has made this journey so enjoyable. I have learned so much from all of you. Thanks.

Hey! Thanks guys! I've been out on vacation with the fam, and didn't have a spare moment to check the forum till now (my brother has two very energeti small children!). And what do I see? I'm king of the forum! Well, co-king, but a king none-the-less! Kudos to jonsparrow, my co-king. And a big thank you to tooka2 who I nominate as the official avatar-creator and rule-book decoder (as well as thread mediator!). I agree with all the mentioned names above too (ant138, mrvlun, GH, aussie, Elwood, Xharp, Jawbone and all the other regulars). I'm liking this latest incoming batch of newbs too. They are very forthcoming and are quite eager to learn! And thanks to all the pros too. It's this mix of regulars/intermediates, newbs, and pros that make this forum the best!
