I got an official R. Sleigh reed work tool kit, a LW Harp Attack, a MB Deluxe Eb, 4 other harps (plain MB's and SP20's in Ab, Bb, Db, and Low F). This all from different members of my family. And then I bought myself some mic cable, a Boss DD-3, and a Crate TX15 Taxi. I'm building an arsenal! I'm a little weary about my purchase of the DD-3 though, could someone give me some insight as to what I should expect or what I SHOULD have bought (ha)? I'm clueless about effects at this point and trying to educate myself. I just noticed now that it is a digital delay and not analog delay...what is the difference? I'm gonna assume that analog is better, did I just waste $100 bucks? I can't wait to go busking with the TX15 though. Hopefully it won't matter if I wasted money cus I'll make it back...sometime soon. All in all a very good Christmas the way I see it.

Special 20 in E and G, straw fedora...I gave a marine band in C to my son, A plastic hohner in C to my daughter (allergic to nickel..I'll tweak it to play great) and a nylon string student guitar for her as well. Otherwise, not a blue Christmas at all..it even snowed last night enough to cover everything!

I was planning on using some gift certificates to upgrade my computer, but I'm not sure I have enough, so I'm leaning towards maybe getting an external sound card with some good ports and a good microphone for my computer. I saw this beast online.
http://gizmodo.com/5401509/yeti-usb-mic-is-the-worlds-first-thx-certified-microphone
"At $150, Blue Microphone's new THX certified Yeti might not be the best investment for something as simple as Skype, but if you are doing podcasts, music recordings, or old-timey variety shows, it might be worth the extra cash.
Apparently, the Yeti is the first microphone to earn a THX certified distinction—something Blue Microphone views as a validation of its "incredibly low distortion, high fidelity, and balanced frequency response." Features include: a triple capsule array that allows you to record in stereo, cardioid, omnidirectional, and bidirectional, an analog to digital converter and a built-in headphone amp for zero-latency monitoring. And the whole thing is ready to plug in to a USB port and use on your PC or Mac right out of the box.
Blue Microphones Announces World's First THX Certified Microphone, the Yeti USB Condenser Mic
Featuring condenser capsules in a triple array, Yeti is the latest, most advanced addition to Blue's line of premium USB microphones"
