the 10 hole blow always needed more air to play, but now there's almost no sound comming from it.there's only a high pich squealing sound. I took the covers of to see if something was caught in the reed i didn't see nothing. I didn't take the reedplate of the comb just the covers. The harmonica is a Big River in C. What can I do?

I would try plinking the reed with a tooth pick or reed tool to check if it's free to move in the slot.
It should have a ringing sound if it's free. If it sounds dull it's touching some thing.
I think I would 1st try tounge blocking or taping off the 789 holes and trying to blow thru it.
If your embrochure isn't correct it makes the higher notes hard to play.

If you play using a pucker/lip blocking method, you may be unknowingly holding the harp too far away from your lips in order to make proper contact with the harp, thus you may be wasting as much as 75%
of your breath from doing this. Another common problem is that because you may be using an extremely hard breath force (quite possibly caused by the previous problem) and have, in addition, been playing with an extremely wet mouth and so the reed is getting stuck because of dried on saliva and/or dead skin. There`s also the possibility that the reed may need to be regapped.
