Great guy. Satan & Adam co-billed with him twice in the old days. One of a kind.

Enjoy & Happy New Year's.

The Rev opened for The Nighthawks at a New Years
show at Skipper's in Tampa a few years ago...
One hell of a night!

Yes, officer, that's the man, right there!

He was in your neck of the woods, Adam? The Good Rev. sure gets around, as he had some airplay on WDVE in Pittsburgh in the 90's and frequently performed live on their morning show. Ran into him at a mall there one time when he was shopping for a travel pen for the potbellied pig he said was part of his act. My gf and I ended up chatting with him and his gf quite a bit.

Funny thing was, I only knew of his act via the radio, so I didn't recognize him - not so odd going by the video above, but he cultivated a distinctive look at that time. We were BS'ing quite awhile before I found out who he was. From the songs I've seem on Youtube and heard on the radio, he's quite a character in his act, the definition of an "entertainer", and he seemed an open, nice guy off-stage. Just one of those people that make life that much more interesting wherever he is.

"Just Friends" was an old favorite of mine, and of course I always had to play it for friends who found themselves in need of just that sort of laugh.

Haha, thanks for sharing that Adam. He's quite clever.

I saw him a few years ago at a blues festival in Wasaga Beach, Ontario and was amazed (I can't watch the youtube, dialup) but I will always remember his amazing left hand boogie woogie work and "don't sweat the petty stuff, but always pet the sweaty stuff" I love that line!!
