Well, I made through near zero temps and a snow induced white out on the way home. Luckily the weasel boy brewery was nice and warm. The audience was a sit down one, so most of the stuff has a bit of a laid back feel to it. Sean Eaton, a filmaker who is doing a documentary on my life was there filming. He left after the first set and took his camera and lighting with him. I had to put the camera on the night mode, thus the different looking suit. Dig the photo of Cool Papa on the keyboard stand. Papa mentored me out in Oakland. He played a 3 pick up gibson sg and had warmest tone I have ever heard. He would make me play guitar. I would resist because he was so good, but his pushing and hooting and hollering as I played, really kicked me into going harp rack and guitar and dropping have another guitarist in my band. His picture was in one of my cases, so I put it up. I wish he was still alive. All the harps are delta frosts I got from last years contest. Walter

I have a hard time comprehending how one man can play all that stuff and throw in some singing as well. Walter ...... you are amazing !

thanks guys! It was a good gig. I have stop taking gigs that are not supportive of what I do. I don't play much anymore, but when I do, it is usually a good time. Paying multiple things at once isn't all that hard. It was the result of not being able to find the caliber of musicians I was use to having for 20 years when I played full time. I meet lots of very technical players, but without that "years of being onstages in all conditions" in you, it just doesn't groove much - push the beat too much, too stiff on chord and tempos. I need a rythm section that can lay back, and go with the flow of my unorthodox changes/tempos. So, learning to play multiple things at once was a lot easier than trying to retool people to my sound :-) When we want something bad enough, we get there. I wanted a band....... I give up alot using a rack and on guitar with all this stuff going at once, but it is worth it for the groove. The video sound stinks. I hate the sound of these little built in mics. Walter
