1955 Hohner Harmonetta for sale!
No broken reeds. Cleaned and sanitized. Needs new valves, because the old ones apparently dried out and became stone-hard. Needs two notes fixed in the button mechanism, the springs have slid off the rotating bars (which I neither have the skill, nor the time to tweak).
If you fixed Harmonettas before, make an offer.

I failed to mention that I can do custom stickers as well if anyone is interested. As long as they aren't bigger than the ones on there the price would be the same and the shipping would still be free in the US. The stickers on the website are approximately 8" x 4".

I use screws too in certain situations.
I have four replacement methods depending on the situation at hand. Above is when I want to work fast and accurate.
I only do Hohners and but I don't do Chromatics or T-Birds. I'd send a Chromatic to chromaticblues (Kevin Baker) and Thunder Birds to certified Hohner techs like harpwrench (Joe Spiers.) Perhaps Harveyharp or arzajac do T-Birds but I haven't asked them. ---------- Affordable Reed Replacement Marks Harmonica Tune-up

Chris - Can you do key labels? Something like this?:
Labels.pdf
Labels.svg
The small size fit on the sides of any comb and the large ones fit elsewhere, like on the covers. Can you make them in a light color like white or yellow? I'm sure this would cost more than $5 since there is a lot of fine cutting...

I did a test cut of those letters and after trying it out I would advise against it. The machine was able to cut the letters but the problem you're going to run into is the time it takes to weed them and trying not to mess up the letters while doing so. There might be a better option out there for that particular application.

1998 Fender Bassman Reissue ( Blue Eminence speaker ) This amp is in Mint Condition not a mark on it. Comes with a Brand new Tuki cover. Looks like it came right out of the box. I modded the amp for harp. Added a Adjustible Bias pot and beefed up the resisters that burn out so can run any preamp tubes without worry, Also change 1 or 2 resisters as per Mark Burness. Amp sounds awesome. Selling because I dont gig out and am tired of looking at it sit in my living room. email jbinder at hvc.rr.com for pictures Might consider a partial trade. Will email pictures if interested. 975.00 shipped.
The tubes in the picture are when I first bought the amp. I have a pair of 5881's power tubes in there.

1954 Oahu badged Valco Supreme.
Clean condition inside and out. $200 service just last week by one of Austin's very best amp techs, formerly amp tech for Aerosmith for many years. Completely original with the exception of two new orange drop coupling capacitors. 5y3 (Russia), 6sq7 (USA), 6scy (USA), 2 RCA 6v6. The rectifier and preamp tubes are branded International. Not quite sure why one is Russian and the others US. They have virtually the same date stamp.
Somehow I have too many small amps and have decided to just go with one each, small (Valco 6422TR), medium (Gibson GA-6) and large (SJ Avenger).

When I am not playing harmonica, BBQ'ing is my other love. I want to step by game up and am posting the following to buy some new cooking gadgets:
Eventide Pitchfactor -$300
LOVE this pedal, but I haven't gigged with it much and my only current gig is acoustic. It does everything from a basic delay to spaceship sounds. I have an Aux switch to go with it. Price is firm as I'll probably have seller's remorse, lol.
Digitech RV-7 Hardwire - SOLD
Tech 21 Roto Choir - $150
This is a fabulous rotary pedal. I've used it a ton (although it is in fantastic shape), but can live with the Zoom rotary effect on my G5 and 100BT.
Tech 21 Blonde - $100
It works great, but looks used. Again, LOVE this pedal, but with help from Richard Hunter, can handle amped tones via a Zoom unit.
I have the $259 Samson Wireless from blowsmeaway.com. It is in great shape, but the full sized unit, which is too large for my current needs.
I am looking to sell - gently used with some scrapes on the receiver - for $195.
Finally, I will take on ONE custom build - has to be a Crossover in any standard key. Price would range from $150-300 depending on what you want/need. Lead time would be 2 months.
Thanks! ---------- Mike My Website My Harmonica Effects Blog Rock Harmonica Lessons

MBH gang,
I'm in a real bind. I've been out of work since I got railroaded out of my job last August. I've got physical disabilities that make most of my old work impossible. I've got a wife and three children to take care of and no income at this time.
Disability process is taking forever, and unemployment has stopped. I've got very little gear left, but it's time to put these things on the block so I can make some money to feed my family.
The ONLY thing I could use in trade would be a small-to-medium-sized amp for gigging. That's one thing I can still do; there are friends around who will put a band together quickly, and there's paying work to be had if I have the gear to get out there. I play guitar as well as harp, so there are possibilities.
Everything I mention here is priced "or best offer", and I will negotiate if it means selling faster. I have ZERO sentimental attachment to this stuff, so shoot me prices if you're interested, and if they're even REMOTELY reasonable, I'll sell.
As far as a trade goes, a 15-20-watt tube amp would be lovely. Doesn't need reverb, effects or whatever. Needs to be very portable as I have hernias. As long as the amp is in good working order, I can make it work for my needs.
Basically, I'm at the point where if I can't get out and gig VERY soon, I'm going to have to sell off the last of my gear and wait until I have money down the road. I've almost never been in a spot where I had NO gear left, but this is a real crisis for us.
OK... the gear:
I've got a mid-70s (IIRC) Shure 520 with a controlled magnetic element. Nice sounding mic, good bass response. I've never had a problem with it. LONG 1/4" cable attached. Will come with a zipper bag with a pouch for harps or whatever else you want to put in it. Make me an offer; I'm not sure what the mic is worth these days. It's in nearly flawless cosmetic condition.
Galveston mandolin, model MDL 25-W. Maple top, teardrop shape, oval soundhole. No electronics. Looks more like a mariachi-style mandolin than one for bluegrass players. Nice action, good tone. $75 plus shipping OBO in the Continental US.
L.R. Baggs Para Acoustic DI and preamp. Wonderful tones out of this thing. Made in the USA. Like-new shape, original box and manual. $125 plus shipping OBO in the ConUS.
There will probably be more stuff if I can find it.
I'm in NJ, zip 08882, if you want to estimate postage costs. The Baggs preamp can very likely be sent in a Flat-Rate package to save on shipping.
I have a set of very-lightly-used Lee Oskar harps, a vintage Super Chromonica in G and a vintage Marine Band also in G. I would normally not be selling them, but if there is interest I will consider it.
I also have a very old German "Chromonika" box for a Chromonika in C. I do not have the harp itself, just that box. The G Super Chro is living in the vintage Chromonika box right now. All the labeling on the box is in German. Would make a great display piece.
Thanks in advance for helping us out. I've never been at the point where I thought I might have to quit playing (at least for a time), but we're in a real jam right now and I have to do what's necessary.

Shure brown bullet w/original crystal, works and sounds nice with my Kalamazoo. Screw on connector. Got it from Bigtone last year. Not full strength but works well for small amps. It starts feedback around "6" on the Kal with the tone on "2" and responds nice to hand opening techniques. $135

Boss DD3, the more desirable one made in Japan- $75
shure small 707a, brushed grille, early cm element, volume control, connector and wiring top notch done by Mark Overman, Johnny Ace powder coated silver, no tag- $200

Another Great Deal From Marks' Harmonica Tune-up
GORGEOUS SUZUKI CHROMATIC HARMONICA.
12 hole Gregoire Maret Signature G-48
Great condition. Weighted as per Marets' specs.
Deep Midnight Blue Metalic Cover Plates that actually shine. The color is similar Hohner Blues Blaster mic but a bit deeper and expensive looking;like you'd find it in an upscale mens department store next to the money clips and cufflinks in the glass case.
Paint appears to have been mixed in with metal alloy rather than applied. Or it is the finest paint job I've ever seen.
Incredibly smooth quiet slide action. $949.00 new. A steal at $412.
This harp is loud and macho or can be played soft and mellow w/ feather breath.
Suzuki sales hype on this chromatic is actually true. It does sound "dark and beautiful".
I replaced some wind savers that buzzed but pretty much left action alone. There are very few and miniscule scratches on the covers. I can only see them under a desk lamp. To see them I turn the harp this way and that to catch the light at six inches distance.
Hate to let it go but I use 4 octave 16 holers for gigs. I need all 64 of those reeds w/ that low octave cuz I'm eccentric.
This is the finest 12 hole chromatic harp I've ever played. I've been at it for 42 years and played everything from herrings to huangs to seydels to hohners.
Strapped for cash? Contact our financial dept. rep. ( That would be me)
$162.00 down and $125 a month for two months. Not Lay-a-way. I'll send the harp immediately on receipt of your down payment. You can't beat that anywhere. I'm told someone put my ad on slidemeister.org. i'll keep this post up for a few more days.
Check or money order only. Can't Rob Peter to Paypal. no likey Paypal.
I'm a repair guy so i've been under the hood a few times. There is only one mod. i have secured to reed plates what i consider are the best cover plate supports in harmonica land. They are like short wide goal posts. by 'secured' I mean I wrapped tiny strips of surgical tape around the inserts. You can't see it. It keeps the cover supports from falling out of the reed plates. I like the extra protection these supports provide when I remove the cover plates.
PS rockinronsmusic4less has these for $670.00 Ron's the best. I don't know if he's got this totally cool color though. ---------- Affordable Reed Replacement Marks Harmonica Tune-up

*** SOLD OUT! ***
Budget combs!
Acrylic is horrible on the environment to make in terms of the chemicals that are put into the air but it is sustainable once it is produced. It can be recycled or re-purposed. That being said, my community does not recycle acrylic. It goes into landfill.
So when I stumbled upon a small amount of discarded Plexiglass, I decided to give it a new home. After some tinkering, I found a way to produce some pretty nifty combs and French Tuners!
The tips are chamfered and rounded for comfort. Once the sides are flat-sanded for air tightness and the tips finished to a smooth matte surface, they look like they are made of ice. Canadian-made ice combs for sale!
I am offering these combs at budget prices. They look terrific, offer quick response and sound great, but they don't offer the same juicy timbre as my Dark combs. They are most certainly a huge upgrade from stock combs and will add some punch to your harps.
$10.50 each plus shipping. My shipping rates are extremely low...
If you want a comb that gets the job done at an economical price, this is the comb for you.

Souped up Special 20 Re-builds ARE SOLD!!!!! Workhorse Blues Harps. 6 OB only Keys of C, D, F. Ready to Ship.
$53 apiece.
Went through reed plate stash to find best reed plates. Not all reed plates are equal. I've written 6 OB only but some of the other holes may OB due to gapping and sizing reed slots. In my opinion the 6 OB is the most important OB on the harmonica for 2nd position Blues as it is the same flat 3rd as the 3 draw bent 1/2 step. This affords you to play some of the same licks from the low register in the middle register.
Long list of tweaks from sizing to flat sanding to open back covers and plates ready to add custom comb if desired further on down the road. Even though it is not necessary I've threaded rear screw holes and will include extra rear screws if desired.
These harps have some volume and play w/ hard or soft breath force w/out choking.
Also have F Golden Melody re-tuned to Compromise tuning rather than stock ET tuning. Same extras as SP/20s After market comb ready etc- except no open back.
This is a Great Harp. If you want to play Orange Blossom Special ala Charlie McCoy this harp responds evenly and easily to all those lickety split Bluegrass runs.
GM in F $63 cuz I kinda want to keep it for myself. Come to think of it, so do all the other harps listed. ---------- Affordable Reed Replacement Marks Harmonica Tune-up
