It is therapy. When life's issues start stressing me out, I've often pulled out a harp and wailed my blues away, and I swear that some of my best playing happens during these times. Just like yoga and other excercise practitioners urge you to 'breathe' to relax, well...that's exactly what we do to bring that little tin sandwich alive. It's refreshing to know that at least one of my habits is healthy! ---------- ~Todd L. Greene crescentcityharmonicaclub@gmail.com

All at the same time? I'd pay to see that!
seriously though, I suffer from stress, anxiety and protracted bouts of depression. Playing the harp really does help. I think Todd has hit the nail right on the head. When I don't have a harp I sit quietly and focus on my breathing - in - out. With a harp it's just more musical!

I am basically a string instrument player. One of the deliberate reason for which I took up the harp was that at that time I was in dire need to literaly blow something out of me (auto-medication ?). One of the other reason is portability. Chopper, motorbikewise you made the right choice by not taking up double-bass.
