Hoping I win that contest...I too will get a solist pro, probably, if not a low-tuned Session. Never played a Seydel yet. ---------- ~Todd L. Greene crescentcityharmonicaclub@gmail.com

I like how they've finished the comb and rounded out the holes, for one. ---------- ~Todd L. Greene crescentcityharmonicaclub@gmail.com

for the reasonable price they sell for, you're getting one of the main things that make custom MBs enjoyable in the sealed and shaped comb, and then some. I know it won't be the be all, end all harp, as I'm sure I'll wanna tweak it some, but I'm excited to try it out. My good friend has several 1847s, and I like the workmanship I've seen in those. ---------- ~Todd L. Greene crescentcityharmonicaclub@gmail.com

do the 1847s sound anything like the marineband? The tone is awesome sure but it's just not 'my' sound you know?, so i'm trying to stay away from that area for now. Peole change and so do preferences later but for now...

I have a Blues Favorite. It is the most comfortable harp I've ever played. Just the different shape the cover makes a huge difference. It's also incredibly airtight. There is a trick where you close off the back of your harp with you hands, press the harp to your face and play a low note. If you do it right you can force air back into the harp and sound one of the high draw reeds. This thing is so tight I can do that almost effortlessly. I can even get a high blow not on a low draw.
