I've got a pair of Sennheiser HD650.
When I bought them they were the best you could buy, but there are maybe 3 models now for £1000. When my Sennheisers die, I won't be buying any of those!

I don't have any in-ears.

$400 for ear buds! They better not fall out. My headphones cost $12. If I bought these I'm sure they would be better......but 388 dollars better? I bet they would still fall out of my ear when I run.

I have a pair of Shure E2 earbuds that I use with IEMs. I thought £60 was expensive, but $400 is crazt. The E2s are as good as I'll ever need.

I also have e2s. I like them alot, even as mp3 earbuds. I don't use them much for IEMs but have them for the handful of spots that have cat 5 cable systems around here. I forget the two brands used here, but the one is outstanding..16 channels with full user control, including stereo Panning control. The other ..not so much, in fact the one place never seems to get it to work without noise and other issues. I wish i could remember the product names...maybe I'll google it.

Aviom pro 16 is the one I really like. Just outstanding.

Hearback is the one with fewer features that I don't care for..it may just be the installation though. If it had worked correctly it would have worked for a small band.

"Why pay $400.oo for Headphones? "

cause they probably sound really good, there nice looking, and they have a life time warranty so unless you loose them you never need to buy another pair of headphones for the rest of your life.

I do wonder just how much of that $400 goes to the Davis estate for the use of the name and that little stencil. They won't improve the sound any, but I'm sure they push up the price
