I did a couple more songs tonight:
Amplified Reed amplified harp boogie
It was fun for a few songs, but I got bored real quick. I was going to do some more varied beats but there was no inspiration. The amped harp sound is too limiting IMO. It all sounds too generic to my ears. The fine little nuances that you can get playing acoustically go bye bye. I know the amped harp sound is the most popular, and I mean no disrespect to it, but I just can't relate to it from a creative side. I don't go for much distored guitar stuff either. I guess I am wired clean! I am going back to the old acoustic sound and my 1 man band set up. This little side track with overdubbing and amplified harp was fun, but the one man band, all made up on the fly, one take, done, mixed, and mastered in 5 minutes time, is my thing. I may go back to the amped harp again but if it takes another 30 years I will be in my 80's!! Walter
