Completely going OT here but has anyone seen these? I'm not at home just now so I can't check it out but I don't think these two are in the Scott Dirks book are they?

Anyone? No interest in this sort of thing? Too old fashioned? ;-)
This is them from the Ebay listing anyone know who the photographer could be? I asked the seller and he said he found these photographs in an old photo album he bought in Chicago he also said he has another he will put up soon of Little Walter and Slim Willis (TV Slim).

This photo shows Fred Below in the back of Little Walter's band car. And two unknown persons maybe one is the driver? And the car looks like a 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air station wagon check out that trim awesome.

left to right: drummer Fred Below, guitarist Luther Tucker, pianist Johnny Jones, Little Walter, guitarist Robert Junior Lockwood. The one gentleman and two ladies are unknown, possibly girlfriends/wives, and a friend of the band. Check out that TV amp might be a Guild, Gibson, Valco or a Fender but the name plate looks missing I think.

The Amp on top of the shelf is one half of a Danelectro Commando which was one of Little Walters amps of choice! ---------- Thanks, Albey Scholl The Shadows Blind Willies Blues Club Atlanta, GA

@Albey; Oh yeah man, I think your right on it there! Now that's interesting stuff. If you google one of those that is definitely Danelectro Commando. Is that coincidence or what?

That amp was also a very early PA system and LW, lke many other blues artists, also sang thru it using the same mic he used with his harp. ---------- Sincerely, Barbeque Bob Maglinte Boston, MA http://www.barbequebob.com CD available at http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/bbmaglinte

This is the other two photographs this Ebay seller has of Little Walter which i'm sure a lot of us have seen before these were free hand outs for Checker Records and if i'm not mistaken the copyright/licence of these two are with the American photo archivist Michael Ochs.

If anybody knows of a Danelectro Commando for sale, please let me know. I will buy it. I'll also consider trading it for my 1956 Bassman.

Looks like the PA amp in front of the speaker cab is a Bell Sound 3725. Jim R
