given the cost of the thunderbird vs the crossover (a sixty dollar difference), I'd say we'd probably see a similar difference in the rocket to the rocket low. But because the rocket didn't change comb materials or anything completely out of this world. I'd say that the rocket low might only cost thirty to forty dollars more than normal.
Hohner's motto for this harp is "Loud, Comfortable, and Low - A good reason to be Blue. I think a darker blue would've been more appropiate. ---------- Musi anima mea est
I wish the Manji low keys included F#, but I have a SP20 I like (retuned from a G), so I don't need it. Still, Jason has a stock one, so I am covetous.
Our harps are only $5 more for low keys.
Still got some in stock, call Rockin' Ron--or, order a Hohner, I don't get a commision LOL
@hvyj-It's too bad the only commercially available Low F# harp is the Seydel 1847 Noble LowTone at $109.00 If Hohner were thinking, it would make sense to give the competition something to think about at least by offering the Rocket Low series in this key. I too want a Low F# and I don't like the size of the Seydel holes in the comb. So, I am having one made on a Crossover comb & covers with G - Meisterklasse 1.05 mm reed plates retuned to F#. This one will be guaranteed to play across the board with bends, draw & blow, as smooth as they should play. I can't wait for the harp to be finished.

Marine Band Deluxe used to be available in Low F# and for a while Rockin Ron had Thunderbird reed plates available in Low F#, but not complete harps. Makes no sense. Who is building that Low F# for you?
@hvyj - if you saw Jason Ricci's Q&A-You Tube last week, he mentioned a guy up in Canada who built him a really amazing harp...same guy here in Ottawa, Canada.
@Killa Hertz & Tnharpists - I received an ad from Hohner today and the price of the Rocket Low is 59 Pounds in the UK or $53.10 US Hope that's useful
It doesn't make much sense to sell the low version cheaper than the normal version... What does the normal Rocket go for in The UK? ---------- Musica anima mea est

I may have already posted this but it showed up as soon as I posted... and then disappeared. It doesn't make much sense to price the low harp lower than the normal harp (or maybe it does). what does the rocket cost in the UK? ---------- Musica anima mea est
@Tnharpists - Here's a site for those prices: http://www.harmonicas-direct.com/harmonicas/diatonic-harmonica-range?page=3
the Euro is trading at 1.30 US
The Rocket sells for 32.99 pounds or 42.56 US The Crossover sells for 52.99 pounds or 68.36 US The Rocket Low sells for 56.95 pounds or 73.47 US The T-bird sells for 78.99 pounds or 101.90 US
It much cheaper to be a Hohner player in the UK than in Canada or the USA
Clearly Hohner has responded to the market pressure caused by the vacuum it created when it discontinued low-keyed classic Special 20s. Seydel and Suzuki jumped on that opportunity and left Hohner in the dust selling but handful of their vaunted Thunderbirds by any comparison.
Unfortunately, it wasn't the belly moans of Hohner's legion of sucker-punched loyal customers that spurred this development. Rather, it's obvious that the company's management required a hit in the wallet due to its self-inflicted marketing blunder to revive them from their stupor.
When will Hohner learn to be more directly responsive to those of us customers who stick with their ship even when it strays off course?
That's what's puzzling me.
