Hello tech boffins.
I understand it is a pretty simple matter of switching (I am told by LW) 3 capacitors to turn a V.1 Delay into a V.2 Delay and vice versa.
I’m getting a V.2 soon and might consider this mod after a bit of a play to see if I like it.
My question is...would it be possible to transfer these capacitors onto a daughter board and add a switch so that one could choose one tone “treatment” OR the other with the flip of said same switch?
LW would not provide a schematic which I would assume would help make clear the simplicity or complexity of the task. Is there anyone who has the “mojo” and could have a look at a V.2 and read the circuit from the board itself perhaps?
I would ask on the LW forum but it seems to be faulty/ shut down/ not accepting users...who knows...?

Might be doable but not practical? Could be complicated depending on access to caps and where the caps are in the circuit.
I wouldn't recommend it because your dealing with small components. To do it right would take time and resources. Not a good trade off IMO.
I had to change a bad cap in a AFB a few years back and that was a nightmare, but there was a lot of components stuffed on that little board!
Without looking at a schemo or the actual circuit, I can't help much.

The parts aren’t SMD so that’s something. The photo and LWs description seems fairly straight forward.

Apparently, above the 2 white caps is a .003pf cap that wants changing as well.
After studying the board I might well give something a try...not positive yet though... ---------- Tom "Bad Paw" Lauten Loch Ness, Scotland www.nimbacreations.com

After receiving the V2 pedal and having a mess around I have decided to leave it unmodified. I like the tone of the delay sound. I personally think it suits a “Slapback” style echo better. As the nature of the Slapback is a fast and short lived delay, I think it should have a crisper, sharper tone, not so muddied and broken down...added it with GLEE to my (now all Lone Wolf) pedal board! ...”Shield, Tone and Delay V2” in that order ---------- Tom "Bad Paw" Lauten Loch Ness, Scotland www.nimbacreations.com
