Thanks for the birthday wishes, folks. I'm 61 today. It's easier than 60.
Yes, I'm still running. Did 8 miles this morning. I've run three 5Ks this spring. The best, in Tulsa a couple of weeks ago, was at 7:16 pace. Ten years ago I was almost exactly one minute a mile faster than that. But I can't complain. In Tulsa, amazingly, I was SIXTH in my age group. The first guy was four minutes faster than me: he ran 18:30. At age 61! They're some badasses out in Tulsa. I'm just happy to be part of the mix.
