I just had an interesting idea. Years ago I spent many hours studying and playing chess in USCF tournaments and ultimately became a chess expert during high school. One book I studied was actually a very basic book with a genius idea: learn and memorize only 60 games, but know everything about them. This provides a foundation through which all other information can more easily be "chunked" and learned faster. I have been trying to randomly practice anything and everything the past months that I burnt out. With all these new websites, it was information overload. So, it is time to re-structure and develop a HARMONICA MASTER RAM. Ultimately I think it would be helpful to learn 60 songs/riffs entirely, in and out, as a starting point. I am starting with listing 10 that I think should be in a harp players RAM. You are welcome to list yours. -Andrew my future harmonica RAM
1. Juke (little walter) 2. Have a good time (big walter horton) 3. Whammer Jammer (magic dick) 4. Front Porch Blues (adam gussow) 5. Jersey Bounce (carlos del junco) 6. Rocker (little walter) 7. Jersey Blues (sonny boy williamson 1) 8. Help me (sonny boy williamson 2) 9. Blues for the westside (Eddie shaw & magic slim) 10. A lee sankey video

The idea is good but I think most people would be apprehensive about sharing their top 10 songs which they shamelessly steal from. XD
It's really good for training though. I recently studied SBWII's Help Me and it really did help me a lot. Unfortunatly my fuzzy memory doesn't allow me to play everything identically note for note. XD It just makes me play me. :/
Though seriously, study your favorite songs (does not have to even have harp). They will indeed help you become the player you want to be.

In theory I think it's good to know a couple songs in a bunch of different categories, in practice I know mostly rock, lots of it from the 80's and 90's. I can figure out stuff quickest that I knew as a kid, so I know Beatles and Nirvana, and for better or worse, Journey, lots of show tunes and beginner pieces. I do a mean "I Feel Pretty". (Apply mental bleach now.)
1. Bohemian Rhapsody 2. Anything by the Beatles 3. Anything by Nirvana 4. Oops I Did It Again (For laughs) 5. A couple of Irish tunes 6. A song by Stevie Wonder 7. A handful of blues standards 8. Something classical 9. Something country 10.Something Jazzy
