Received a Delta King 8" for Christmas. Didn't think much of it at first. Boxy and shrill. 1 watt through a 12AU7 as a power tube with a 12AX7 in the preamp. Both Chinese of course, where the amp is made. Tried a Harp Break with it, much better but still not great. I switched out the 12AX with my preferred preamp tube - a JJ 5751 and put an eq pedal in the chain. Woke this lil guy up like nobody's business! Master and volume controls with a line out. Ran the preamp at about a 3 with the master about at about 7. Set the eq by boosting the bass frequencies and dialing down the highs. Pretty much a diagonal line on the 5 eq sliders. Amazed at what 1 tube watt can do volume wise. Tone on the amp at 2. Great tone with a bulletini. Set the amp right on the verge of break up. When tightly cupped and hit hard, she purrs and barks on command. Back off the mic and it still cleans up nicely with the lower gain preamp tube. Perfect for living room or garage jams with no drummer and sits perfectly in the mix. Great tone! I like it!!

The Supro Delta King 8 is awesome even stock. Still loudish, but I can always mic it. Tone is great and the breakup is perfect. Boost at low volume gives it a good push too. Plus, it was $250 on Pro Audio Star new.
I traded in my Supro DK 8 for the Delta Kjng 12 (15 watts). I needed more juice.... and it delivers. 12 inch speaker really moves. Everyone in the band commented on how good it sounds. And I'm finding it is very feedback resistant. Both with an SM57 and Green Bullet.
