Annie has a few videos on YouTube just search under "paulandannie".
She is a great player with very tasteful chops and a great tone. Annie also disproves the misbelief that you need big hands to cup a bullet mic properly to get a great seal for a full fat tone.
So all you guys who use that excuse wake up and smell the roses, because I'll wager your hands ain't smaller than Annies.
Annie and Paul have a few CD's out. My personal favourite is "I want you to know".
I've done 2 seminars with Annie, Simply she's great. She also calls the dispute between pucker vs TB so much hoooey!. No one can deny her tone and she's a mostly pucker kinda gal. I also caught her and Paul opening for Charlie Musselwhite which was a great show. I could have handled another set or 3 of either Charlie or Paul and Annie. At one point Charlie wasn't sure where she was but called her up on stage with him, not being able to see her running up the side aisle he asked if Annie was still there and all you heard was this almost childlike voice declaring "I'm comin' Charlie!! I'm comin'!" Did I mention just awfully damn cute too?
I got their DVD "A Night in Woodstock" which is a live show plus interviews and a guitar lesson. One of the things I have been doing is studying how she uses her small hands. The music is good, too. I especially like the harmonica duo she does with John Sebastian.
Me, I want her hair... always wanted curly hair.

Just a plug for Annie--I had the pleasure of taking a couple of lessons from her last year (only stopped because I got laid off, but hope to start back this year). She's a great teacher, really patient, really generous with her time. She requires you to make a recording of the entire lesson so you can take it home and work on things. I know some other well known instructors won't let you record lessons. If you're looking for a teacher in the Boston area, check her out. She was also going to offer lessons on Skype, so you might contact her about that too.
Speaking of Sebastian, a lttle trivia, he's the harp player on the Doors - Roadhouse Blues. Many people (including myself) erroneously thought it was Jim Morrison.
As an aside, try as I might, I can't get Sebastian's cool tone on that song. I'm sure its just me.
I missed Annie Raines when she did a clinic in philly last year. My job made me work night shift that week. So mad, I missed on something like that for a couple bucks. Hopefully she'll do another in or around our area.
