nice mic, If the element is good (bad elements sometimes read ok on meters) Great deal for you. Note Shure made a lot of mics and elements for other companies such as RCA Also Field handheld mics also contain the good elements and can be had. If the CM element is good in the mic Dog has and he puts a switchcraft connector on it the mic is worth 2-250 us easily.

awesome... quick questions.
I have an old mic I picked up for free. It has a shure white lable element in it. At work there is a tester very similar to yours.
what # do you flip the dial to to test the element?
ALso bluzdude46 writes sometimes they check ok but don't work. Do they ever check not ok and do work?
Is the only way to know for sure to soulder or clip a 1/4 inch jack to it and plug it in?
Thanks for any help.

Hi In the vid from 3.30 to 400 see the funny arced symbole bottom left the dial pointer is pointing to #2000 Hay!? Get the owner of the meter to test it for you,,I live in Australia that meter might be very different than mine,,No iv'e never had a element that gives a reading not work for me,,But your last option testing it that way is Fine if you have to hide your new gem from the bossman,,check Youtube allso there are many vids,,search How To Use a Multi Meter..

To clear up my statement. Even if the Element checks out on the meter it doesn't mean the mic is working. bad connector (switchcraft or 1/4") short in the wiring, bad ground, bad vol pot ect.
