A Lone Wolf delay! WOO. Haven't tried it yet, will in a little bit. Randy's wife was veryyy nice and took some photos of our first set at B.B. Kings. If she doesn't mind, I will post some of them all for you!
Which one-the original or the V2? i prefer the V2. Both are sweet, though. Glad you got to meet the Landrys-great people! ---------- Todd L. Greene, V.P.
I have been using the V1 of the Harp Delay (through my Harp Gear HG35). The sound is great. We did Jimi's "Red House" last night. The lead guitar player does a passable Jimi, and when my solo came I turned the delay and "volume" (see '1' below) all the way up with the repeats down around one, and it allowed me to play alongside myself.. very cool.
Two negatives: 1 - The "volume" level allows you to mix the original signal with the delay (turning it up mixes in more of the delayed effect with the original signal). Unfortunately, doing so increases the output level, so if you set everything (mic, amp and delay) for a specific output (to avoid feedback, for example), if you change the delay's Volume control you will need to readjust to maintain the desired level.
2 - The color of the case and small, styled lettering makes it difficult to read in low light and/or if you are farsighted. I am going to print new stick-on labels for mine. Unfortunately in this instance, function follows form. Could be worse.. could be a ridiculous Fender amp with a chrome control panel and white lettering!
Other than that it is excellent and adds a lot of richness, depth, and maintains tone. It is a digital delay, but you won't know it as it sounds very natural. Another harp player last night was trying to tell me it was an analog delay.. it isn't.
Sorry Sare, hahaha. I got the version one, Todd. What is the difference? From sound clips it seems to make the harp sound more trebly so it can cut through. I think that'd be bad for my tone since it's already a little trebly so it cuts through.

I was playing my new B Radicals through my Lone Wolf delay + Sonny Jr. today, sound great together! Ok, total lie, no B Radical...yet. No lone Wolf either, still using a Boss, but I do play through a Sonny Jr. with the new mod. Is there any advantage to the Lone Wolf pedal over my Boss and Digitech delays?
Zack, you can play thru the V1 without ever hearing the V2, and be quite happy. The tonality is a bit difference, but if something happened to my V2 and I could only get a V1, I wouldn't be at a loss. I did a side-by-side at Randy's shop, and just preferred the V2. Not a world of difference, though. ---------- Todd L. Greene, V.P.
I heard one in a video Todd, and it just made it sound really trebly, with less low end. The HarpAttack, my amp settings, and my LPB-1 wouldn't jive with that, methinks.
I don't know hahaha. I watched HarpSuckers video and it made it sound A LOT different than with the v1, I preferred it MUCH more, the other kinda of bothered my ears.
I was disappointed, too. Though you won some kind of youth award in Memphis. A little OT-what mic did you use into the Harp Attack in Memphis? If you thought that much of it to use it in Memphis,I might be acquiring a new piece of gear.
BTW, Zack(and Tuckster)-I have a brand-new revised version of the HA, and used it for the first time last Tuesday night thru a PA, and WOW, the tone is killer, and variable too. I was playing a white-label bullet, but am anxious to run some different mics thru it. I for one would highly recommend getting one. ---------- Todd L. Greene, V.P.
Tuckster, sadly nothing. I used that pedal and an SM57, that's it. I trust that pedal BIG time. Todd, I want to hear this new revised version, sounds cool.
It's an AWESOME amp. The HG35 is actually the same amp, by the way. I got really lucky with this. Just keep saving money...That's exactly what I did, it took FOREVER, but...yeah, now it rules :-D
im trying to save money but i keep buying mics. i could have gotten a harpgear by now if i didnt keep spending my money. wait what amp you useing i thought you had an hg50? ----------
lol i cant help it!. the hg35 still dosnt have as much punch as the hg50. theres a video of jason playin the hg35 with his effects an mic, an it just didnt sound as good. you play yours in your house? cause i plan on that. every one is like its way to loud blah blah blah, but i got friends with marshal full stacks in there house, so loud to some people isnt really loud to me. ----------

back this train up! zack- why not make jon feel better and tell him your travel thru gearitis! if i recall correctly, you were all over anything that had wires for a while. but maybe it wasnt that you bought stuff, but not because you didnt want to, due to limited funds.
Jon, where is that video? And, I play it in the house, but I'd REALLY recommend the LPB-1 as it makes it sound good at a low volume. Trust me, you don't always want that volume.
Eharp, that's right. I had no cash so I constantly was falling in love, doing SO much research, then falling through when I became uninterested. I got a few weekly gigs for a coffee shop which got me some cash, and a weekly jam also, and I sold a keyboard. I KNEW I had to go all the way to get a HarpGear. My parents gave me two hundred bucks, YES I PAID THEM BACK!!! I was so proud of myself, I did that all on my own.
Every time I get a touch of gearitis,(which is pretty often) I just practice more and play what I already own. It has worked so far, but we'll see.......
That DT is a badass little amp. It's incredible how small that little sucker is-yes, you could easily put it overhead in a plane. ---------- Todd L. Greene, V.P.
