So is this really indian?
This is from the guy who put up
Beley Dancing.
The guy that has the page wears a traditional
indian turban.

That one is not only indian, it's also a true classic of filmi music. It's a song from the famous movie Madhumati (made in the late 50s), and written on raga bageshri, a very popular "light" raga. The original was, of course, sung by Lata Mangeshkar.

You can still find that kind of semi-classical approach in film music today, but mainly, bollywood music, as Issaculah pointed in the other thread, is really pop music nowadays. And it has begun early : you could find chacha song in the late 50s, twist in the early 60s, disco in the 70s, all indian style. But, as far as my knowledge go, no blues !

That guy is doing a good job, although the backtrack is a little too loud to get a clear view.
