It's great that so many people--old friends as well as new--chose to post in an active way on this forum today. But I'm afraid that many people seem to have forgotten the board creed.

Please tone things down a little. Thanks.

Let me clarify: There is no place on the MBH forum for threads entitled "Duke it out."

Here's the creed. It's the law around here.

"A quick word about board etiquette: the phrase "freely exchange" above carries with it a burden of responsibility. Please assume that your fellow board members (including me) are well-intentioned. Treat them civilly. The golden rule is a good guide. We come here to share information, conspire with like-minded others, educate ourselves, cheer each other on, and maybe help each other deal skillfully with the rough changes that the blues-focused life can sometimes put us through. Vigorous, passionate conversation is fine. But please refrain from flaming, insulting, or otherwise impugning the intelligence or good intentions of your fellow board members, or from starting threads that seek to encourage that sort of behavior. On extremely rare occasions, when confronted with flagrant and/or repeat violations of board etiquette, I reserve the King's divine right to banish wrongdoers from the kingdom. Please don't be evil."

I'm doing my part to help change the mood here by posting really bad videos of myself. One didn't do the trick, so I guess I'll have to add another.

It was a suggestion for section to do that stuff not
to be taken as a call to arms. People took it literally.
Should have used a different label. Maybe this stuff
has been boiling under the surface.

Apparently there are some people who shouldn't be provided with any encouragement. May be therapeutic in a cathartic sort of way, though...

By any chance does Dr. Phil have a harmonica forum???

I can honestly say I'm shocked that a few innocent questions abut the Hohner Marine Band got twisted by some people into an abusive slanging match. I think Adam was right to act like he did and to lock it down.

I think we could all learn a few things by following the example of places such as the Bushman forum, where they can discuss things without abusing each other.
