I have over the years been a visitor to the Harptabs.com site to get tabs for tunes. However, these last few days my computer virus software is stopping my visitations with dire warnings that visiting harptabs will infect my computer.
A tab I am after is one of Charlie McCoys playing Blue Yodel No1 from his album Harpin the Blues. Can anyone assist?

I just went on the site and it is flagged as an unsafe site by google, it was ok last time I went...
anyway, sorry I couldnt help you more than that, but it's not your computer..

It means the Google bot has detected malware on the site. Some sites will infect your PC just from visiting them. I am sure it has nothing to do with the site owners, it's probably been hacked or infected by a file uploaded to the site. You should run something like spywareblaster or Malwarebytes to be sure. The site owners will have to do some cleansing of their own I'm afraid.

I rarely go there, but it just so happens I went today and got the same message. Got my tabs from elseware.

I had a virus alert a day or two ago, but only once. I posted in the forum about it. The webmaster "djlactose" aka Nick will take care of it as soon as he sees the post. I guess I'll PM him, as well.
I know this won't copy/paste well (spaces, ya know), but it will get you through 'till he gets it fixed.

gene > I figured that they were chrom tabs. No probs as I also dabble with the chrom but can play around and transpose for diatonic. Once I get the melody in my head and some sense of the notes I disregard the tabs but they are a helpful starting point. Thanks again.

It's fixed, now, I guess.
Here's part of a post from today (2/22/10) by the webmaster:
"...It had been a nightmare to clean the site up and I was even considering giving up and just shutting the site down at one point. I had been working closely with the hosting company to resolve it, then once resolved I have to apply to have the site removed from the firefox/google block list."
