Many of our clients have already contacted us regarding information on the state of the release of the B-radical. Thank you all for your kind words of support in those letters, harmonica players are definitely an incredible breed. Who would have known what a roller-coaster ride the launch of both this company and this fine instrument would be?! The fact is that Brad is not going to put out this harmonica until it is just right. Believe me, as a player, I can tell you that we are there and will begin full production and shipping this week. This is a great instrument from players, just like you, who want to improve our magical instrument that we all love.
Jason Ricci and I have both been playing our B-radical in Bb for the last couple of months; we are excited about this instrument. I have found it to be all the things I am looking for in a harmonica: it plays, feels and sounds great! I have been putting it through its paces with overblows, overdraws, chugging, fast country playing and some hard, biting blues honking. This little wonder is meeting all challenges! I am finding some other very surprising characteristics as bonuses. I had the good pleasure of performing on the B-radical (acoustically) at Dunlop's booth at NAMM two weeks ago with my good friend Bobby Cedro, guitarist/engineer and designer of the Carbon Copy delay pedal for MXR/Dunlop. Bobby found the sound of the B-radical to be much more focused, round and containing warmer overtones than my other harmonicas. This meant a lot to us coming from a guy that deals with sound for a living, in addition to being an impartial, non-harmonica player. Jason and I agree; the overall tone of this instrument is unique. As Jason put it: "it sounds like a focused 21st Century Harmonica!"
We also have news for all of you players that want to hear how the B-radical sounds when played through an amp. I have been playing the B-radical on my Sunday blues gig into a Green Bullet through a Bassman. Now let me relate one thing; in all my years of playing the harmonica, I could never tell any difference between harmonica models when amplified while holding a microphone. However, the curved, recessed/throated design of the B-radical seems to provide a projection that makes the amplified sound of this harp unique –once again: more focused, round and containing warmer overtones than my other harmonicas. Exciting times if I do say so!
We realize that it has been a long time for many of you since your Summer and Fall pre-orders (Aussies please flip this!) We will begin limited shipment of the key of Bb this week to some of our clients with June pre-orders. We are hoping to have all of our pre-orders that were placed by Dec. 23, 2009 shipped in February and March. Pre-orders placed after Dec. 23, 2009 will ship in late March or April.
We are currently working hard to fill all orders in as timely a manner as possible. We will send you an email when we have a solid date of completion. We hope this delay hasn't caused you too much inconvenience. In the week before we are ready to ship your harmonicas, we will send an invoice for the final balance due. We are also busy working on our new website and hope to be able to send details to all on how to login to your account on HarrisonHarmonicas.com in order to view your order, see your balance, find out the progress on your harmonicas to make payments and to view video of Brad teaching how to replace your reeds, plus tips and tricks on setting up your harmonica. These videos will be exclusive to our clients. We are hoping for a launch of the new website in these first weeks of February.
Thank you for your understanding and support of Harrison Harmonicas.

A video or audio clip of this would have been very nice for those who continue to wait. ---------- Music is your own experience, your own thoughts, your wisdom.
