Feeling one coming on. I love it when this happens because then I knuckle under to get out of it.

My rut:
1) Relying too much on the minor pentatonic and blues scales. 2) Relying on short phrases (good for space though...)
3) Working alot on stuff I can already do and not learning new things.

The goals:
1)Learn to work the sh*t out of the upper end of the harp
2)Stop avoiding holes 1-3 when playing in third position
3)Develop longer phrases that develop continuously, rather than just stringing lick together
4) Use scale degree 2 more, scale degree 6 more. Fold those into my language more.

Just finished a three hour practice session. I wish I could always feel this good.

Nope. A good rut takes a good year to work itself out.
