We are getting nailed here as well. A few moments ago I was outside brushing snow off the porch roof so it wouldn't collapse. It's coming down fast as we clear it. My boss already said he wanted to see us at work tomorrow :( . Obviously my plans to go to a harmonica clinic in MD this weekend have been thwarted :( .

It hasn't hit us hard yet. We got an inch or two in the morning. Usually we get hit from the west out of Bufalo, but it looks like this is more of a nor'easter.

Last Saturday we got hit with a blizzard at the shore so bad that you couldn't stay outside for more than ten minutes. Today in northern NJ I had to shovel three times and I'll probably have to do it again.

Jon- about ten years back there was a big storm that shut down the whole east coast. I had the misfortune to be driving across country in my car at that point. I got to Texas and there was snow and people were losing their minds. They'd cleared one lane, but all the trucks had pulled over into the cleared lane and they weren't moving. It took me 4 hours to go 20 miles. Even although the snow was worse as I started getting farther north it was a lot easier going. By the time I got back to New York the roads were actually pretty good. That was a rough trip though.

Fort Worth, TX

I woke up before noon, looked out the window to see 4 inches or more of snow. And it's still coming down pretty heavy.

It is snowing outside my window. I hope the warden doesn't make us go out and shovel. We don't have good winter boots and all the shovels are short handled, and the chains are so cold against the skin...

Sorry, just trying to get in a mind set to write a prison blues song. The only chains are in my mind.
