I think Swamp Blues is sometimes left out of the
conversation.
Credence Clearwater made it a base for a lot of their sound.
Here' my hommage to Slim Harpo.

Sweet diggs! Hadn't seen that one before is that new? I was trying to teach myself scratch my back a little while back on Bb but it sounded nowhere near as good :) .

Thumbs up Diggsblues - Nice cut of a classic swamp blues tune and a good tribute to Slim.

Swamp blues and basically the entire Excello label sound is too often not mentioned in the mix and another player from that label not often mentioned is Lazy Laster.

If you've ever been thru Crowley, LA, you'd wonder how it was ever any sort of a hotspot, much less the 'home' of this type of blues. Surrounded by rice and cane fields, just outside Lafayette. I'm playing some Lazy Lester and Slim Harpo in my new band. I like Slim's Tee-ni-nee-ni-nu, mainly because I have no idea what it means...

That was one of the first blues songs I ever heard when I was a little kid.
I didn't know what the blues was, but I knew I liked it.
