Hi, I’m Jules from Brighton in the UK & play sax, blues harps &.. er.. musical saw. I seem to fit into the intermediate to advanced intermediate category according to this site. I’m a regularly gigging player- jump blues, rock & roll, swamp blues and a fair bit of weird Captain Beefheart/Tom Waits –ish stuff. I’ve neglected harp for a year or so while mainly playing tenor sax but have just got back into it following a tour with splendidly quirky singer songwriter Sandy Dillon, who demanded I got my gob irons out for a few numbers. Currently using Lee Oskar harps, a Hohner Blues Blaster (why, oh why do I have to rewire my XLR cables when I use these?!) & just picked up one of those great 5 watt Epiphone valve amps. Here for advice, general banter etc…

If you ask me, Sandy is a little aggressive.

Hey Jules. Welcome. I lived in Brighton from May - September last year and was enormously impressed with the vibrancy of the harmonica community there.

Don't forget to check out the forum how-to. It's got good stuff like how to post links and videos, and a map of where some of the other members are that you can add your own pin too.
