I think you got the idea. Personally, I think the tone is trebly. Something tells me you need to work on setting up the amp more, because I don't think it's exactly your technique completely.
Please enlighten...? Is the Weber speaker upgrade worth it, and also changing the tubes from x's to u's (or the other way round :L) ---------- "Blow as thou pleaseth"
Cheers for replying :) so It's not me its my crappy gear then. :) OK so amp is a fender champ reissue with no mods mic is a 520 dx (cringe) but a chuck gurney is on the cards this summer along with a boutique amp. ---------- "Blow as thou pleaseth"
Okay, I think that mic might be a bit of the culprit. I'm not saying it's all the gear, but that tone sounded much more affected by an amp and mic than you. I think you should try doing this acoustic, it would sound much better.
Sounds good dude. I like your ideas. Maybe try an emphasize some of the 3rd position wail notes a little bit more! Theres a lot of good stuff there for you to explore. I like what you're doing.
Its very hard to capture the essense of a harmonica amp through home recording anyways so I wouldn't fret too much about that. ---------- http://www.youtube.com/user/asilve3
