Thanks for adding that. Lee's playing and music in general often gives me shudders. Especially "Monkeylips" and his band stuff with Ian Siegal singing. ---------- Myspace: dennis moriarty
Finally a clear explanation and fantastic differentiation! Lee Sankey is one of my favorites for tone. There's a video of him playing on Howard Levy's site that is just awesome. Hopefully he'll give everything away as well.
In the 1'st video the light blends with the background on this forum. It looks like there is a cut. Trippy shit.
Has Lee been watching Adam's lessons? it's interesting that he's doing stuff Adam didn't focus on. I like that. Cater to the audience.

It was inspiring when he said it took him 5-6?? ish years to get the tongue switch down. I had given up on this technique, I tried and tried but just found no progress. I can do the flutter OK after some work, and was going to leave it at that, but when you see a good player say that it took them 6 years, you:
number 1 realise why he is so good
number 2 get inspired to put in the work to do it
The other times the same thing happened to me was when Adam said you need to practice at least 1 hour a day to get good, and also that it took him a couple of years to get his throat vibrato.
Be aware though that both techniques whilst similar are not the same. Just like the two tongue flutters Lee demonstrates. If you really want to be the best you can be though then you need to spend the time practicing all the techniques.
I'm still working on Tongue Tremolo 2 and can't get it working right for me yet. But it'll get there eventually.
