I have sent a few emails over the past few months and got nothing back. Just wondering, if anybody knows the answer! I'll stop bugging him if the answer is "no". Thanks :)

Joe is one of the best so he's probably very busy.

I'll take your order and I'll return all of your emails.

I ship more harps around the world than I do in the US. It's not a problem for me at all.
I'm still really busy so order taking is limited but I will take a few orders as I finish up older orders.

Your inquiries aren't making it to my inbox- I certainly would have replied, even if it was to politely say "no".

As far as orders, I'm not accepting new clients at this time, for the most part. Orders from prior customers are usually accepted (with tentative completion dates), as well as repairs which are always done immediately.

The reason for currently not accepting as much work is that my mom just found out she has cancer. I want to be there for family while we get through this. After filling current orders, I tentatively plan to build some in advance as time permits. I don't want to be the guy that takes your money and doesn't send your harp when he said he would, so right now I'm just avoiding making those obligations.

I didn't know Joe Spiers was on this forum, great! Right from the source. Well, I'm sorry to hear that Joe (bout your mom I mean, and the harps as well). How did that Meisterklasse chromatic turn out (from Ebay)?

Buddha, I'm thinking about it. I was specifically looking for a African blackwood comb (same stuff high quality clarinets use). I am talking with Neil Graham, and he seems to be offer this already. I will be ordering one of your harps for sure in the next six months if for nothing else than to see what all the hype is about. Thanks much

Andrew, please check your spam folder, I replied to both your inquiries when I received them. I just forwarded them again. The MK chromatic is beautiful and plays well for a stock instrument, but nothing like my Spiers custom Super '64:)

Not hype in a negative sense, more so "positive reviews/regard" if that is clearer. Do you use Mapingo (african blackwood) combs at all Buddha, or could you?

I have a CNC milling machine in my workshop and can cut a comb out of any reasonable material. The best thing to use for a harp is the composite material but if you want Mapingo, I can get it for you.

Damn, my bad. Yes both went to the junk folder automatically. Thanks for letting me see the replies, especially the first one. You are now marked as "safe".
